Just an update several calls have come in asking if we have a league night on the St. Croix.
the answer is yes.

First League night is Tuesday May 31 on the St. Croix River hours are from 5:00 pm until 9:30 pm.

We will be updating the North Metro's webpage with the correct info. That is the only change I am aware of.

Thank You

Steve

Chisago lakes area, Big Marine, Prior. Adding more lake will spread out the pressure.

You certainly did bbradley. It's not like Bald Eagle is the lake every week for the league...it just so happens to be tonight, after heavy pressure this weekend. But what weekend doesn't have heavy pressure?

BBradley,
Come on out and join the North Metro M.I. Chapter on any of our league nights.
FYI we have been fishing Bald Eagle Lake for an early season league night since 2001 +- 4 years.
Part of what We as the North Metro Chapter do is "Support" for the DNR's muskie program. We will help out with any equipment purchases or buy minnows to feed the growing muskies. We do not have a large bank roll as a chapter but we support where we can. We are heavily invested in the study of White Bear, Bald Eagle and Minnetonka of stocking fingerlings vs yearling muskies. Where do we get the best bang for our stocking bucks? We have pit tag readers in multiple boats that are on these metro waters a lot.
Our league is where we not only get new members on board early on but it is also a tool that helps us retain members and grow our chapter with new blood. We are always looking for people who are willing to help out and steer our chapter into the future. Non-members are always welcome at any of our outings and meetings.

feel free to give me a call if you have any questions

38 people have fished a league night so far. Unbeliveable participation.

Current standings

1st Cory Gale 30 pts 1 fish caught
2nd Dave Coleman 26.5 points 1 fish caught
3rd Ben Limpert 22.5 points 1 fish caught
4th Mark Kuether 22 points 1 fish caught
5th Joe Miller 20 points no fish caught.
6th Steve Bates 18 points no fish caught.

Next up Forest or Minnetonka. Standings will change metro conditions are getting better.

Plan now for Saturday the 25th. Jim Shannon memorial fishing and picnic day.

Please remember that we have to set good examples on the water and at the launches. If we want to continue the battle against the anti muskie groups we need to be viewed as a positive group of fishermen and women.

Go to NMMuskies.com for more details.

Good luck

Steve

Everyone,
With the 80+ degree water temps in the metro at this time I am canceling the August 2nd League night date. I will probably make a change to the schedule to drop the Rush / St. Croix and Sugar/ Eagle night and slide The other August 2nd back to the 9th and the 9th to August 16th.

Right now August 9th may be in jepordy.

Please stay up to date on these changes and notify any friends who fish the league that changes are in the works.

Thank You
