How is the late fall bite on St Claire going? Are the water temps still putting out fish? There are a couple weekends coming up that may allow a trip east. Just wondering if it's worth it. Thanks.

Water is 38. As long as you don't have ice or the lake is chocolate mud, you can catch them. The constant current keeps them more active longer than you would think. Problem is this week coming up, in fact this whole month has not made Al Gore look good.

Fishing was SLOW yesterday but I agree with the windows idea. Saturday was slow in the morning but then we went 2/5 between 2pm at 5pm.

Whats the chance of the marinas/harbors not being frozen this weekend?

Supposed to warm up Saturday so I'd say pretty high. Hopefully this winter weather hasn't killed the bite...

Things are NOT looking great for tomorrow here on LSC, meaning ramps and marinas.

As of today, there is a lot of ice at most ramps and most marinas. If you must, your best bet will be the main channels, meaning SCR and/or DR.

Beware of ice floes down the channels. Lake temps have dropped down to 34-37 degrees. There is a lot of ice floating in the main lake.

Guys were ice fishing on Anchor Bay, near Fair Haven DNR ramp. Ice extends 1/4 to 3/4 mile offshore.

Had some boat problems so I went to city marina Sunday late afternoon to cast. After speaking to both shore guys and people coming in on boats I didn't hear of a single fish being caught. I wonder if a single fish was caught on St. Clair all day?!?

Just drove down to Belle River... No ice anywhere, but no clear water either.

6 inches vis on the south shore water temp is 36.6. That being said still I'm still getting fish we've just had to stay at it and keep fishing.
