Fished evergreen alot last summer and late fall with no luck. Any info on strategies or lure selection for the lake would be appreciated.

I have fished Evergreen for the last couple of years and have only caught a few small ones. There are some nice fish in that lake. If you live in the central Illinois area I can give you a few suggestions. pm me if interested

Evergreen is a very tough nut to crack. You may want to consider hiring a guide. If you do, hire Thad Hinshaw - www.evergreenmuskie.com

I have fished a bunch of times and have had little luck. Small baits casting tight to shore. Pretty much bass fishing tactics but with leaders and heavy line. I do agree it helps to get a guide. Thad is awesome and fun to fish with. I highly recommend him.
