Heading to Cass in mid July. Only fished once before I'll be there for a week so I plan on hitting other lakes but would like to catch a fish to add another lake to my lakes I've cought fish in. Seemed like a verry clear lake do people do better at night on this lake. Is there any baits or colors that I should be getting at the up coming musky shows thank for any information

see if you can go out or talk with Kevin Cochran.

I believe he fishes that lake pretty regularly, should be able to point you in the right direction..

I was up there a few times last summer. I'd recommend trolling until you figure out where the fish are. That lake is huge and tough to fish.

I fished Cass quite a bit last year. Very clear water (has zebra muscles) and can be tough to fish. Look for weed beds, which can be few and far between. I mostly used blades (Junior Cow Girs & Kramer Bros Revos 7's) and rubber in natural colors. I too have used Kevin Cochrane a couple of time and would recommend him. I have heard that there can be a good "reed bite". The most success that I had was fishing the wind. Jim
