I assume this request is just that and holds no power what so ever over the MN DNR.

the guy spearheading this simply isn't going to give up. Brett Waldera and many others from the Fargo club have invested a lot of time and energy into putting out the real facts. One fact is that walleye fishing in Pelican has never been better. tournament results have been getting better and better every year.... What this guy does is spread false information, scare tactics etc... we as musky fishermen, whether we fish in that area or not need to have our voices heard. when there is an opportunity to email the legislators and dnr about stocking take the 2 minutes and send one in support... this guy isn't giving up. and we need to do our part to combat this wack job.

^^^THIS - Then take them out and put them on a bunch of walleyes and crappies on the same muskie lake..... to show them how many the muskies HAVE NOT eaten.

Play his game. Refer to him only as the poacher. Keep going to those lake association meetings and make sure he cannot keep going uncontested with his set of "facts".

If they get the ban insist the dnr cease stocking of all species to assess the real issue.

The guy doesn't actually fish. It really has very little to do with fishing.

Fishing licenses are public record right??? At least they used to be,,somebody should check to see if he even bought one,,we've used this against politicians in the past who said their die-hard fisherman.

"Concerns included public opinion against stocking muskies in non-native lakes, disagreement with DNR statistics regarding muskie fishing"

Poaching Dave and his band of geriatric busy-bodies won't let this go until they die. They hate people on "their" lake. Simple as that.

Propose all stocking and fishing then, including walleye. Can't reliably assess anything with intervening variables.

I propose they keep stocking in MN to keep all the mud ducks over there. Most of the guys that come to Wisconsin are pretty inconsiderate fisherman. When a guy pulls up 300' in front of you on a spot and fishes the spot out before you a majority of the time there is an MN on the side of his boat. Not to mention the way they park in the small lots so no one else can. It happens pretty much every Saturday all over the Hayward area.

I don't know anything about your situation in Hayward but you would have to have loose screws to leave MN to fish WI.

Lol who is leaving MN to go to WI to fish? Here in western MN I see a lot of WI plates this time of year.
