One week from today I will be up on the Chip for the annual family vacation. Just wondering how the water levels are and how are the water temps?

Water level has come down and is just above normal. Water temps 78-82. Good luck and have a great time.

Just got back from the Chip. Water was a little high. Spoke with one of the locals who said this is as high as he has seen it in 40 years! Water was warm. 82 degrees most of the week. Went out early on Friday and had 78 degrees with it warming up to 80. Clear skies all week except for Friday and warm. Stayed at the Lake Chippewa Campground. While waiting for my son to get down to the boat, I took a few casts around one of the docks with a black bucktail, green blade and wouldn't you know it, had probably a 36incher take a swipe next to the boat with me asleep at the wheel. DOH!!!! Only musky I saw all week. Did catch walleyes in the weeds with leeches and jigs/twister tails. Did real well on the crappies towards dark on the deeper weed edges again with jigs/twister tails. Bass biting on crawlers and leeches and also bluegills on crawler pieces.
