Going to Vermillion first week of July - West end. Sure could use some musky help.

Any tips would be appreciated. Structure type, baits, night ?

Willing to put in the time but could use some pointers on how and where to start.

Thanks
Luke

Not a lot of magic to it on the west end or east end for that matter. West end has a lot more weeds, and some very large weed beds, and of course reefs. Fish the larger weedbeds but only the oustide edges. Don't fall into the trap of wasting time casting large weedy areas.

Rocks are good too. You can fish the cans but you are probably better off using your GPS to locate the secondary unmared rock humps and spend lots on them, especially after dark as this will produce.

Probably best to stay close to main channel areas. The above spots combined with close proximity to the main channel or high traffic areas will result in a legitimate chance at a big girl. The population of fish on the west end is smaller per acre compared to the east end, but there are some real monsters on the west end for sure.
