I know this question has been asked many times on this forum, but if I remember correctly, there were some new brands of line out last year or that were relatively new. So, some guys may have switched. I have been using 80-100 lb Tuf Line XP the last couple years and have been fairly happy with it. What kind of line is everyone using and why?

I have been using powerpro until last year when i tried Vicious. The Vicious is better IMO. holds less water than most of them, it's cheaper, and doesn't bleed. So far, its been pretty good stuff for me.

Sufix braid is better than Powerpro. No offense to powerpro users, but I used to use Powerpro for the last 6 years but made the switch to sufix last year. Much more abrasion resistant, more round and stays rounder than Powerpro also. Doesn't lose its color too. Don't get me wrong, Powerpro is good, but I prefer Sufix. When I used to use Powerpro for tarpon and snook in Florida, if the line came across a rock it would cut immediately. I do have a 150 pound tarpon to my credit on 50 lb Powerpro though.

Sufix performance braid is #1 no matter what. Ive used powerpro and all the rest and nothing stands up.

Just about any line is better than Power Pro. PP has not updates or changed their line in over 10 years. Technology has improved line and PP has not kept up.

I've got 100-lb. Spiderwire Stealth Braid on both of my Revo Toros and love it so far. I've casted a few times this year just to practice and get my arm limber again (haha) and no problems whatsoever. No backlashes thus far. No issues. No breaking. No memory. This is my first time using this line and I've read a lot of positive reviews about it here on the forum...

I use TUF-line XP and haven't had any problems with it, it holds a lot of water but I like it. I've got buddies who use Suffix and won't use anything else since they made the change. I'd change to Suffix but I'm waist deep in TUF-line and bought a bunch of spools when Thorne was running a sale on it.

I've heard of too many people having lures fly off from powerpro from it breaking. I never thought PP was bad until this past year I was casting a cowgirl and casted and snap there she went. No backlash or anything, just broke and went sailing. The next day I changed that reel over to TUF-line.
