Location: South Portsmouth, KY | Hey. Does anyone know how to tell apart the down east rail mount standard series from the salty series just by lookin at em? I have found some on ebay just by picture and i am wantin to make sure their saltys.

Illinois | Yes, if you look at the pictures on the link I posted you will see that the salty rod holder is more robust in that the rod holder is center-mounted on the rail mount providing two clamp points to the holder -- the rod holder is "surrounded by the rail mount clamp. On the standard mount, the rod holder is affixed at only one point on the rail mount and is off-set to the side. If you look at the pics on the link you should be able to distinguish the difference.
