Would any of the bait makers here happen to have a reliable lip supplier they could recommend? My supplier may possibly be hangin' it up and I just want to be prepared just in case. I'm not talking Rollie & Helens or Lure Parts - retailers. I'm looking for someone to order direct from and in larger quantities.

I prefer router or water jet cut lexan over stamped out.

Thanks for ANY help in advance!

Hi,
I have been using Metal Works Stamping in Wisconsin, but these are stamped. Dale is great to work with. I have recently just started cutting them out myself. I made a jig and I just use my router to cut them myself.

I am not sure of any other suppliers.

Thanks,

Can you show us a picture of the jig you made? What bit do you use? Thanks

Try "CB CUSTOM LIPS, LLC they just made up some samples for me and I am going to test out my lure in two weeks. They are great to work with.

Here's the jig I made to cut out my lexan lips, I'm guessing it's just about like the one Greg made. I use a flush cutting bit with a bearing on the bottom to cut mine. You just cut a square/rectangle piece of lexan a little wider than the jig, slide it under the groove and lock it down with the locking arm and run the bearing on your router bit around the wood shape of your lip.
Here's some pics :

I like that one FUBAR! I use a similar technique for cutting blanks. Was watching how skateboards are made and grabbed the shaping idea from there.
