I would like to upgrade my power drive 55 to something bigger. Preferably to 80lbs. Unfortunately 70lb is the biggest power drive you can buy. Everything else has the captain morgan foot pedal. I dont care for them. I make quick adjustments and adnust while working baits. I dont want a pedal i have to be off balance with. Remote means adjusting between casts only. Adjust way more than that. Is there a motor i am not looking at that has a left-right pedal?

Terrova has the left/right arrows at the base. Or are you trying to avoid the size? I just switched from PD 70 to terrova 80 and the arrows serve the same function as the PD pedal. I could be misunderstanding your question

My 3-year old Terrova has both the Capt. Morgan cable-type pedal and two left/right buttons. I believe the new ones do, too.

I assume your existing PD does not have GPS? If your new Terrova does, you will certainly have to adjust less, and possibly between casts would work for you. It does for me.

put a little riser pad on the momentary button or you'll end up hitting the left and right arrows when you hit it... not sure why Minn Kota hasn't done something like this but it works slick..

Get the Terrova you dont have captain Morgan pedal that way and if you get with Ipilot you can use auto pilot which helps greatly and you will have foot pedal and remote access....If fishing 2 ppl from boat one guy can have remote and other pedal so you both have ability to control boat works out great

Todd, I had the Terrova with I-Pilot and had nothing but problems with it. Made a deal with Minn Kota on sending me a new Terrova with Co-Pilot and 2 remotes for it! Minn Kota let me keep the remote, prop, and the foot pedal. I sold the foot pedal and on this web-site to recoup some of the money I spent ! I sold the remote to a friend of mine.
I have heard the new Terrovas have been improved though! Spot lock sucked on mine!!!

I hate my terrova pedal..... might have to add a riser to it and try it again.... wish they made a smaller aftermarket version similar to the powerdrive pedal..... buttons are too small and the pedal is gigantic
