I have been looking for some higher quality eyes for some of my baits. I have found some stuff online. But it's either 10+ dollars a pair or glass beads over printed paper. What are my options.

make your own. buy clear glass cabochons and paint the eyes on them. ebay is a good source for cabochons..cheap too.

I've also done this search. I think what you have come up with is it. If you want glass with out the print behind out you're going to have to pay. I don't see anything wrong with the ones with the printed sticker or what ever it is behind them, cause once you put your top coat on it will be sealed. Mnmusky has a good idea too.

I thought about painting my own but I really don't have time. I paint or build at least 4 nights a week. I have been steady for nearly 2 years and really don't need another step. Maybe once my kids are older and I have more time.

I see eyes on some baits that I think are so cool but I can't seem to find a source for them. Thanks.

9 mm to about 12mm. I use mostly 10mm but 12s are about perfect for my 8" gliders.

have you tried taxidermy suppliers? They have your sizes for $2-4 per pair if you get "flint" eyes which you must paint yourself. McKenzie, VanDyke, Research Mannikin will have what you may want.
