| Well, the boat is back in the shop. Same exact deal that happened about a year ago. Was trolling and went to speed up to another spot and the motor would only go about 10 miles an hour. Shut it off. Waited about half an hour, tried again, same thing.
I had all but 1 filter changed last year, as well as all the fuel lines. Was about a $900 repair.
Anyone else have this problem with their HPDI? Seems there's a lot on the net about it, but not very much information on how to prevent this. I'm thinking it should take more than a year to clog all the filters up again.
Any advice? |

| I haven't. Does it really make that big of a difference? |

Location: minocqua, wi. | define "trolling"? … if you are truly "trolling" with that motor then you will continue to have problems.

Location: Hayward, WI | There are hidden filters in the belt driven fuel pump too that allot of people miss. I would make sure that you are running the proper oil and always run ring free. The 02 sensor is prone to get plugged and not work without ring free and proper oil. |

Location: Madison | I didn't run ring free one summer and I had issues. Went back to running it in every tank and no problems since. |

| Run ring free! Make sure and run proper oil (insert HPDI oil choice battle/discussion here). From what I have seen at my shop either Yamaha 2M or have a few guys running Optimax oil. |
