Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Not for me, but a few friends are looking at thinking about possibly maybe (you can tell the seriousness here) getting a new boat...I've been ruminating with them, looking around, but the thing I am seeing is that other than Tuffy...most boats' rod lockers are 7'6" and below.
Question: what boats (over 18.5 to 21) have a rod locker that will take 8'6" rods? |

| Slamr,
Just got a RECON with 200 Etec HO. The boat might have the best rod storage I've ever seen. I think you can store up 12 9 foot 6 inch rods in the rod storage locker. Open area between cockpit and gunnel to lay rods down. Very well thought out. |

Location: New Lenox, Illinois | My Recon 985 can store rods up to 9.5 feet in the top of the rod locker. Agree with hunter you will be hard pressed to find a bigger rod locker on any other boat. These ar true fishing machines!!!!!! |

| I have a Warrior 2090 BT and I can fit 12-14' rods on the side rod shelves under the gunwales. At least 4 rods per side of the boat. Then the center rod locker I can easily fit 8'6" rods. Couple inches shy of 9' in there. And I've had more than 20+ walleye/bass rods in there. |

| I did an easy fabrication to my 2013 Alumacraft Navigator and I can now put four 10ft rods in the rod storage. You could do five with a little more work but the fifth is currently 8ft which is all I currently need. |

Hiya,
I'd be very interested in hearing what modification you made... I have a 2005 navigator and can get longer rods in, but they slide up into the front storage compartment. Would love pictures as I would like to do a small modification so the rods are safe.
