I was trolling today with my '06 115 Opti, most of the hours on it are trolling. Quickly ran rough and quit. Started back up and went in but the boat would only go about 10mph. We could hear a light squeak when we got into the harbor. I took the hood and belt cover off and found alot of brown dust. Assuming the compressor bearing failed? No black smoke exhaust looked normal.

I assume you meant alternator bearing?

Could be the brushes on the comm wore out. No alternator not enough juice so it went in a limp mode.

Looks like brass or copper mixed in the dust.
