| The fish by me are very lethargic I've had some luck ripping a DD aggressively with long pauses between rips. What baits/techniques do you guys use to get reaction strikes or to irritate fish? |

Location: oswego, il | All strikes are reaction strikes. The question is what baits and techniques can you get strikes from when fish are lethargic? I like fast erratic baits. Find yourself a tr twitcher, a zalt, zam or a savage gear low rider slow float. Easy baits to work, very erratic.

DD's and DDD's great baits any time. Sometimes I fish aggressively, sometimes just a twitch or 2 with a (2 to 5)s pause. As for which when I try to let the fish tell me. |

| Sometimes dropping a jig almost on top of them then lifting quickly will get a fish to go. Another trick is to use a softtail crank and twitching it in front of the fish, then stop it in front of the fish and move it barely enough to move the softtail, a lot of time they can't stand it and will hammer it.

I assume you are talking about the zalt? To me they are jerk/twitchbaits. I did hear some guys early on were trolling them and doing well when they first became available in the US. When i cast them they don't get down to 10ft. Thers is a floating, suspending and sinking model. The floating model has more of a dive quality, where the sinking model has more of a spoon quality.
