Location: Milwaukee, WI | I know this may seem like a strange question...but standing all day can take a toll on the body. What is the best Footware for those long days of standing and chucking? Any favorites or recommendations of some people? |

| Merrell Moab are my repeat go to, super comfortable and each pair lasts me 5+ years, and they make a waterproof model. Only downside is they get warm past 70 degrees. Then I go to the super stylish crocs with socks!

| Good pair of insoles. Tried few products and found Dr Scholls to be the best, depending on your weight and foot stracture. If youre of a big stracture, or as I call it ff try Dr Scholls heavy duty. Heavy padding and extra support for the arch really seems to work. If not they have like 10 different other kinds to accomdate your needs. |

I have a couple pairs of sketchers superior milford shoes and have also added the scholls insoles where you actually get the orthotic type as measures on the machine as Walmart. Comfy comfy comfy!!

Location: Cedarburg, WI | I'd agree on the Crocs for comfort when it's warm. I would have never believed it, but a nephew that fishes a LOT of bass tournaments swears by them. I've worn them a couple of years now, and am in total agreement now. All day standing in anything is going to be a killer, but these seem the best for me so far. Not the most manly looking, but my feet thank me at the end of a day.

Location: Twin Cities, MN | I have had foot problems for years, and also stand most of the day at work.
The best I have found for standing / walking are Xelero Matrix with some custom foot inserts. Spendy, but very good shoes.

| Junkman- I 100% agree with your answer- The Shimano shoes is all I wear when the weathers warm. They are very comfortable, keep your feet cool and I don't get sore feet or back wearing them.

| I the late 80's my grandma gave 100 dollars for Christmas and I bought a pair of Sparry top siders for 70 dollars and my depression era grandma was mad , These were made way better then what we they make today I had those to about 2010 or later. My grandma died in 1996 and I caught my personal best wearing these shoes in 1999. . As a kid in the 70's I went barefooted in my old wooden boat that leaked and you can tell how high the water got in my boat before I bailed by looking at the paint chips on my ankles. Went bare footed all summer, in the boat, walking down the dirt roads, in the woods, the only time I wore shoes is when I rode a bike (bare feet and spokes don't mix) My dad had (we still have um) a pair of Skechers's that were real lucky and he was kicking our butts so as a joke I put them on top of the fridge by the coffee. The first order of the day is to make coffee. So he found them. Boy I like the idea of sandles then going barefoot in the boat! |

| Working as a volunteer at the boat launch for Clean Boats/Clean Water was always struck by how many of the younger anglers wear flip-flops to go musky fishing. I am probably clumsier than the average guy but having had hooks in my fingers and hands, the idea of getting a hook from a lure left on the deck in my toe does not appeal. But that is clearly the choice for a lot younger guys. |
