Feel free to check out Hot Tail Gliders & don't turn yer nose up at the Modivator gliders either.
Not giant sized but nothing wobbles better on the fall than the one i got from Ben the maker.
He might even make a giant one for ya. |

A Suick and many other baits can do a lot, including roll but where the rubber meets the road is with the person that tunes them and imparts the action while using them. Folks new to the sport may not want to hear it but there are no magic baits.
The magic comes from the user.

its not that difficult. been doing it for 30+ years with the wooden ones but no two are the same, some better than others. all i do is turn down one corner of the tail that i bend downward to begin with. i have hook rash on my good ones thats 1/16" + deep from rolling. suicks rule and always will! |

Ditto that, no video needed, just a little imagination and besides the tail tweak, add a bend of the line tie and you have one that can walk left and right WITH a belly roll. Additional small tweaks make um favour one direction, left or right and you can werk um under docks, etc. Many of the unweighted ones i have roll completely upside down with some quick reeling to get it scurrying and a sharp jerk. Can be done with the newer unweighted HI models, but the unweighted wood ones are more buoyant and can do some amazing/unpredictable things in and out of the water. Temperamental even after they're tuned but priceless once you know how to dial them in. Right rod, reel & leader helps a bunch too. |

I really love tossing giant gliders (10" phantom softies, 10" hellhounds) and would love to diversify my lure collection (i have an addiction). Any suggestions on other large gliders I should look at besides phantoms and hellhounds?
Your glider obsession has moved on to me now, after seeing how many fish youve caught in the last 2 years im getting a new setup for them, all i need is a reel now. |

Ive picked up a couple 10 inchers for next year too. A hottail and another phantom to replace the magic one that bbeaupre borrowed and ruined |

Location: Jane Lew, WV | You may want to look in to RiverRunner baits. You can check them out on Facebook. He makes a 10" glide he calls the 'slider'. Has a nice walk and gets down a bit deeper with a nice wobble on the fall. |
