Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Hi everyone,
The main waters I fish are located off dirt roads which are not treated with a chloride solution to lock down dust. So...my boat and gear can get dusted up very quickly when things are dry. Even though the roads in some cases are short, the dust still gets on everything, including the reels.
I'd put the rods in my truck, but the rods are long enough that doing so is not feasible. The boat cannot take the longer rods (only up to 7'-6") Thus, if I can find a good reel cover for the reels, they can ride in the boat and save on boat rash for the ones that do ride in a compartment.
Any suggestions on good covers? Please include sizes for each model of reel as well....
Thanks much everyone!!

Location: North Dakota | I use the Cabela's large neoprene baitcast reel covers on all my Lexa 400's. They fit very well, and they're a bit stretchy so they should fit your Tranx! The Calcutta will be no problem. |

Location: Marshfield,WI | I really like the Jaws reel covers for all my muskie reels. You can find these in many sizes on Ebay, and they are very well made. I have the size LN for my Tranx 500 and it fits great.

The Jaws reel covers also come in different colors--black, red and blue. The different colors help me to identify my covered rigs quickly with just a glance.
I also have the larger Jaws size XL which fits my Shimano Tekota 600 line counter trolling reels. Previously I could not find a good cover for my line counter reels. |

| Take them off the rods and put them in the back seat. It takes only a few minutes to rig them once you reach the lake. |

Location: Mt. Zion, IL | Bass pro round reel covers are the best I have seen for the Toro and Tranx reels up to 400. Shimano medium covers are what I use for my 500's. The Jaws style leave the side of the gearcase exposed more than the BPS/Shimano covers I use. |
