| Hey All,
Looking to add walk the dog top waters to my skill set,
Any recommendations on ones to start out with?
Not looking to break the bank on crazy customs, but not looking based on price either.
What do you guys recommend?

| Will second recommendation for One eye Willy. Great action and the best hook-up success for me. The Super Spook gets a lot of action but it is smaller and very light-weight. Hook-ups can be a problem. |

Location: Ludington, MI | I was getting lots of follows and blow-ups (but few hookups) on my Jackpot and a guy suggested I try the Weagle. The Weagle sits lower and is easier to work, but I don't get nearly the follows or strikes on it. |

I had a similar experience with the Jackpot. Moved a lot of fish but something I saw too often was the lure thrown in the air by a striking fish. On one it looked like the muskie was chasing it through the air. Very cool to see but it would have been a lot nicer to have a hook up. |

| One eye Willy for sure. I've tried a lot of different ones and the Willy was easy for me to use and the fish pound it. |

Agreed! Doesn't get blown out of the water like many other WTD lures. Only the best! |

Location: Contrarian Island | the old Cady weagles to me are as good as it gets. Not sure what wood they were made out of but, they are heavier than the current Weagles (I've weighed them both) .. the One eyes are very similiar to old Cady weagles... |

Location: oswego, il | I have a very early made cady weagle. Love it. It has caught quite a few indiana muskies over the years. Any topwater that sits low and stays low in the nose and doesn't hop will allow the death march swoosh. Again that technique has caught some indiana muskies for me. |

Location: lansing, il | For information purposes, keep in mind wood can be inconsistent.
An original Cady Weagle is 4.6 oz (on a postal Scale)
Mojo Weagle is listed at 3.5oz (R&H catalog)
8" Moccosin is listed at 5.1oz (R & H catalog)
A 9" Willy is 6.2 oz (Postal Scale)
a 7" Willy Jr is 4.3 oz (Postal Scale) |

Location: Contrarian Island | I weighed a few to see.. the One eye I have is 5.9, 2 Cady Weagles I have came in at 5.5 and 5.6, the new suick one I had was 4.5.
the shape and width of the one eye is a bit thicker head to tail to give it a touch more weight.
Big Wood musky page has the water moccasin listed at 4.0 oz.
I got a new Kodiak zig zag recently that was a little light in the nose for my taste, a little solder wire wrapped on the front hook and it now runs great... |

Location: mercer wi | Which size weagle is preferred? I'm a fan for Bob mehsikomer attack dawg, modeled after Havana jack but made out of plastic with a rattle. The only thing I dont like about it is you can't make it hover in place. The videos I've seen with weagle looks like you can make it hover a bit. |

| Each weagle is itttle different imo. I have one that rides lower and will not walk in place but the fish love it. My other one is easier to walk but doesn't seems as tasty to those dam stubborn fish. |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The Suick Weagle works just fine, digs in well, and makes a ton of noise. I've caught plenty on them without really having one outperform another. Consistent. The Cady Weagles were far from consistent. |
