| Heading out in 3 weeks for Lac Seul. Been there for Walleye with my dad a few years back and was blown away by that body of water. A group of us is heading up there in 3 weeks, and we are going to the North East part of Lac Seul. Merrit Bay and Wapesi Bay to be more exact. Very Little information out there on this lake, which i take as a good thing. Just curious if anyone has been up there, and if any lures/colors seemed more successful as we are traveling from Chicago so I really don't want to take 100's Lures up there if I can avoid it. Any help would be appreciated. |

| If you are fishing Lac Seul, i would say Pdeez LSG missle, gold or black. We landed a 52.5 last friday on the gold. same part of the lake. good luck. |

Location: North St. Paul, MN | Our biggest fish have been caught on Chartruse or firetiger. Big spinnerbaits and bucktails. Yellows and golds (walleye), too. Big pike, too. Enjoy...I'm jealous! |

Location: Contrarian Island | bright colors as said above...I fished up there 4 years. we never went into Wapesi, we did well towards Pine island/Birch narrows. you could take a few 9s and 10s, a few topwaters and be set
some killer spots up there. good luck

| Got back from a week long trip to lac seul with a friend a couple days ago. We had a good time like always. Been going for years on and off. Boated 3 mid 40s on topwaters and missed several too. Weed and rock combination seemed to be the best. Just wondering if anybody can explain the situation with the cabbage up there however. Especially north of Chamberlain narrows. We have always fished the typical milk run up there like a lot of muskie guys do... no problem... however, lots of the spots that were nearly unmanageable jungles of beautiful cabbage years ago have over the years steadily dwindled to either a few stalks or are totally baron. Still love the lac seul experience but would love to know what is happening to the spots that I used to dream about. Kind of upsetting. Thanks for any info! |

| If there is rusty crawfish they will do that to a lake. Dam things! |

| My success has been large black and gold spinner baits or bucktails. I have only been here for 2 trips of 5 days each. Have heard bright colors are the way to go in the summer and then go to more natural colors ( gold, copper ) in the fall. Would love to learn more about this lake. Going back mid July 2018. Staying at Moosehorn Lodge. I am fascinated with this lake. Have heard many people don't fish it due to lack of consistent fishing. ( see fish and then they disappear for days at a time. ) Cant wait to go back !
