Location: Glen Ellyn Il | This winter I built 78 baits, Glides, Jerk, Cranks and 3 prop baits. I really love to build more than painting and I really like to challenge myself on making different types of baits, it's really fun to get hem to work properly. Anyway here are some of the baits I was able to paint for myself to take to LOTW trips, including Eagle lake. I am loving my retirement, no more work just fishing

Location: Glen Ellyn Il | Yes I have made a all bunch, Jerk rise baits, crank baits 13 inch jerk and some awesome glide baits, the shape of walleye. I donated a bait to young kid about 16 years old last year on LOTW, just saw him this last trip, he caught a 50 inch muskie on my bait |

Location: Glen Ellyn Il | These are all wood, the jerk baits are made from Basswood, the glider I make them from 1 inch deck board PVC, they have better action than hardwood. I do use Maple and oak for the glider, but by far the PVC deck board works the best |

Location: Glen Ellyn Il | The white trim boards will break on baits over 6 inches but the one inch PVC deck boards is really strong. When I use PVC I use 1/2 or 3/8 inch maple dowel pins, depending on the thickness of the bait for the hook hangars and and the tow line. I have a complete tutorial on tackle underground website for the installation of the dowel pins

Location: Glen Ellyn Il | Look up company that build decks, or google Azek PVC deck board they should have a list of dealers, I purchased my supply from a deck company going out of business out of St Charles Illinois, I did not have any luck at Home Depot or Menard
