| I am looking for some help deciding how to mount 2 Folbe rod holders on the back half of my Tracker V16 Pro Guide. The Folbe's came with the pedestal style mounts so I will have to mount them to the top of my gunwale.
My intentions are to use them for trolling during the summer months and for holding sucker rods in the fall.
My main question or concern is where to place them-meaning I don't want them too far back, or too far forward. Should I put them so that the rod handles would hang over the rear casting deck or should they be positioned so that the handles would hang over the"cockpit" portion of the boat.
Another concern I have is that I cannot really use bolts with nuts as fasteners. I would have to use 4 stainless steel sheet metal screws to secure them. Will this be strong enough?
Any advice and or pictures of your setups would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Sam

| I used bolts and locknuts on my 2008 Tracker Pro Guide V-16 to mount Traxstech tracks. Went through the gunnel completely. When I drilled the holes, I angled the drill inboard when drilling the outer holes, so I had easier access to the bolts on the underside of the gunnel.
