Purchased some "Jake" blanks a while back without lips but I think they were actually Grandma rejects. Bought Jake lips but they didn't fit, but thanks to the miracles of sandpaper and epoxy I was able to get the lips to fit. Most came with small defects but a number were quite passable as is so I applied lips and an overcoat of epoxy. The action is interesting, a wide back and forth tail swing with pronounced roll. I'm thinking they might just work for walleye. This batch is 6 inches long.
