| Anyone fish Dogpaw in Ontario? Will be in the area this summer and want to check it out a day or two. Any info is appreciated! Hard to navigate, size and numbers of fish, structure type, etc.?
Thanks! |

Location: Scandia MN | It's on "First Nation" land. There is a guy next to the landing who'll let you park in his yard for a price and keep an eye on your stuff. I know one of the camps on that system uses that service. I don't know what it costs and how it works but I have seen many rigs parked there. |

Location: New Hope MN | Bring an extra lower unit. Nothing is marked and there aren't any good maps, paper or map chips...

Serious? I'm pretty sure the 3.5 mile long road from 71 to the access is paved. Maybe you're thinking of the road to Dryberry? |

YES I most certainly was thinking of Dryberry....guess I need a pair of glasses. As the others have said Dogpaw is on a reservation.
I have been on Dogpaw several times quite a few years back... Yes, there were some obstacles under the water surface so I might suggest going out there on a brighter day with a good pair of sunglasses and not driving too fast...wasn't that terrible though, I have seen worse
There are some nice fish in there....With the clearer water they were a bit tricky to get to commit but I was moving quite a few off of mid lake reefs with bigger blades. Also some good weeds in there....biggest I think I got in 2 day trips was jerking a suzy sucker on the deeper edge of some cabbage, I think it was 46" ( watched it chow it of nowhere in crystal clear water about 8' down, pretty cool!)
here she is.....

Location: Scandia MN | Musky Brian - Did you park your rig at the guys place next to the landing? I've only been there once and my youngest daughter was so freaked out by seeing an "Old Fashion" res for the first time we didn't stop. I'd like to know how that went and what he charges. |

Yes it was a house, a woman was there both times and took our money. I don't remember how much it was but it was reasonable...I don't think anyone is going to mess with you there, that's income for that person and I'm sure they are glad to have it. The actual reservation is a bit away from the house
