| Huskerland Outing Day 2 | |||
| Description : | Our Chapter is holding a Fall Outing to Merritt Reservoir in north-central Nebraska on Oct 21st & 22nd. Participation is free but, your donation to the Chapter would be appreciated. All Muskies, Inc. members and their guests are welcome and encouraged to join us. We have virtually no fishing pressure on these fish and our 52" state record comes from this 11 mile long, 3000 acre reservoir. New waters are hard to come by these days, here's your chance. Merritt Reservoir is located 26 miles So. of Valentine, Nebraska on Hwy 97 and is adjacent to the Valentine National Wildlife Refuge lakes. Lodging is available on the lake (at the Merritt Trading Post & Resort - $60 p/night special rate - 15 cabins, 42 beds total) or, in Valentine. For those of you staying at the Merritt Resort, bring your appetite...the Waters Edge Restaurant has one helluva chef.
