Tom's Fishing Exploits
3/29/2007 8:23:06 AM
Went trout fishing in Marquette County on Saturday 3/24. Had the stream to myself. Caught nothing between 8:30 and Noon, only had one that I missed. Warmed up in late morning and afternoon and the fish became active as the water warmed. Ended up catching/releasing 2 wild Browns, 12" and 13". Also missed 3 or 4 and had several followers. All action came on #2 Mepps with brass blade or small floating Rapala in Rainbow Trout pattern. It was a nice day to be out and the fishing should only get better. Just over a month until the musky season opens in Southern WI. I hope to get the boat out in April to do some panfishing.
