Finally got one in the boat,first for the year,a 34"er.Got it on a topwater,slammer makes it,cico kid style...Fish fought like hell,jumped 3 times,tail walking and everything,it was COOL! I also had 3 other follows,on top raiders,first was a nice 40" class muskie,the other hit my boat on the figure 8,hit the damn boat,missed the lure too! raised it again,went into the 8 and turned away after the 1st turn,about 36".a few other peeps out in the am,I was there at 5,got the fish by 6:30,othe action was before that,hmmmm,I might be onto something here...I will have to try it again next weekend.nephew wants to try again for the ugly fish,might be a good time,i have had action every time onb the water,if not from muskies,smallies or pike..who cares as long as the kid has fun...Later...

Opening weekend in WI,I fished Saturday am,got 4 small pike,had a long skinny musky about 45" miss my jerk bait,jumped out of the water but didn't get any hooks into it.Saturday evening I noticed the river was up about a foot,didn't see anything,even the suckers were hiding...Tonight,Monday I got a huge walleye for the river,25".On a Burt jerk bait,of all things!The rear hooks were in its mouth,middle and rear hooks on its back.Not much of a fight with 100 lb test...I let it go,we need those big girls in the system.No other fish were moving.I gotta get out of fishing that river,get my boat out and fish new water...Neck is back to norma,or at least closer than it has been in years...NO pain!!!COOL!!! Thank God!!! Thank my surgeon!!! And Thank myself for quitting smoking,made it 400 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was opening day,non muskies for us north of Hwy 10...Idiots were out in full force and early! One guy had his line wraped around a bridge support,couldn't figure out his trolling motor and the pole was dangling..LOL Too funny.At least there was entertainment cause the fishing was slow.I did manage 2 small walleyes and 3 crappies,all let go.Oh well,that's why they call it fishing,I will be back out in the morning.

You know,I used to like Roland Martin,I was a big fan of him and his show,until today.I happened to watch most of his advertisment/tv show today and what a F*ing joke!He BOLDLY try to push every damn thing he touched,rods,reel,line,lures,sunblock...I am fed up with this CRAP!!! I have no problem with someone making a buck but come on dude,I DON'T care about your lip balm!He was worse than Joe Bucher! YUP,WORSE than Mr.Bucher,the best self promoter this side of Don King!!!!I know you are a great fisherman,show us! Stop faking catching a lifeless bass,or telling me that it is 8 pounds when it isn't over 4,and I could care less what rain gear you use when there isn't a cloud in the sky...Today was it,no more Roland tv shows...So LONG...OH SON,NICE FISH...
