I hope 2Rod is reading.....
I want his baits and I'm pretty sure I responded multiple times since our initial messaging. Gee, I hope the offseason funk isn't getting to him and causing him to lose all sense of trader reality. 2Rod, come back.....I'm here for you brother.

WOW......I am proud to say I was involved in Jonnysled's CPR of his 52" beast during Rhinelander League this past Tuesday. What an awesome experience. And this is from the netman/cameraman perspective!! I constantly catch myself day dreaming (morning and night dreaming too) about Jonnysled's fish. It has been a rather unproductive week for me here at work - not good

I saw it all as Jon did, except from the back of the boat. I was between casts and looked over to say something to Sled but the words never made it out. She showed herself the first time when she whiffed on a SuperTR within 30 feet from the boat. Massive amount of water was moved, huge fish out of the water and we just gawked at each other for a second or two. We quickly both agreed that we felt the fish would still be around and that we should try to get her to go.

Jon was shaking but had enough instinct to get the boat turned back into the current/wind to keep us in position to hit the area the fish was in. Jon gave me the nod to toss my Funky Chicken off-set spinner, which I thought happened to be a fairly good choice as a throwback anyway. No luck. Jon had already snapped on a Weagle as I had thrown my bait into the ring. Upon his cast back, obviously to the perfect spot, swoosh swoosh death march underway, the water absolutely erupted. Oh My God!!

He mentions in his posts another smaller musky that had the gall to get in the big girls way. That fish was thrown into the air and out of the way via the force of Orca. Orca came out of the water on the bait and took it down with her. I looked over at Jon and he had the visible presence to wait until he felt the piggie and then gave her hell.

I was on the net within seconds and then just waited while his drag was severely tested, while the fish eluded two netting attempts and through thoughts of don't "F-ing" miss agin. I got her in the net and I look up to see Sled's shit ass ear to ear grin followed by a WEAGLE, BABY victory shout.

I do not recall any communication from before the fish hit until after the fish was in the net until I realized that no league boat was around and we had no paper or writing materials to have someone verify the fish.

Thanks to Tom and Jason Knudson who were fishing within very loud shouting distance and came over to witness the fish measurement. And also thanks to Eric Whitburn. Eric lives near where we were fishing. Get this.....he said he saw "a big fish" caught from his living room picture window at least 200-300 yards away and decided to motor out on his pontoon to see what was up!! Eric ended up going back to his house to get pen and paper to help us register the fish.

Biggest fish in Rhinelander League history, biggest fish I have ever seen and been involved in landing, happened to a good guy and my new league partner. Well, I'm done gushing. I feel like I've detracted from Jon's glory, but I had to get this off my chest to try get back to normal.

Does anyone think that will happen?
