Fiberdome, Inc. a privately held Corporation out of Lake Mills Wisconsin, today responded to the many inquiries received since the announcement that Genmar, manufacturer of Ranger, Stratos, and Champion fishing boats had filed for Chapter 11 reorganization.
Fiberdome, Inc. is the Mid West's largest builder of custom fiberglass products. Tuffy Boats has been one of the many product catregories built by Fiberdome since the early 90's, so Fiberdome has seen almost two decades of what's commonly known as 'Marine Economy' ups and downs.
"Diversity is the key to our current unprecedented strength," said a Fiberdome executive. "Recreational products, products for commercial accounts, industrial accounts, and for the Government; these are all product categories Fiberdome builds for our clients. Through 40 years of business, never once have all our categories been strong at any one time. We've seen it close during a couple economic booms, but never to the point where production levels of all our product lines have peaked all our production processes," he stated.
"Fiberdome's diversification is not limited to our product lines and manufacturing. Our employees are trained to excel while multi tasking on the factory floor no matter the duties at hand; be it sales, manufacturing, engineering, fabrication, or shipping. All our divisions accommodate internal resources and our entire workforce. Sales, Marketing, and Engineering are considered by Fiberdome to be customer oriented, and we take special care to meet our customer's needs whether building a Tuffy Boat, Osh Kosh Truck Commercial or Defense vehicle component, a product for AT&T, RPS Engineering, Siemens, or for any of our many other valued clients," he explained. "Our motto has always been, if there's a need for fiberglass, call Fiberdome!"

He went on to explain that as a result of Fiberdome's diversification, as there's a downturn in one division, another will usually be in a growth stage, maintaining a stable manufacturing atmosphere and impressive growth for Fiberdome throughout the last two decades and more impressively, during the current economic downturn. At any one time, depending upon demand, employees shift abilities to address each clients needs in the Fiberdome manufacturing and service matrix, so a downturn in the Marine Industry doesn't require a shut down or large layoffs and the potential loss of experienced staff.
In answer to the question; 'how does the Tuffy Boat product line fit into Fiberdome's present and future marketing plans', he responded, "Fiberdome utilizes the Tuffy Boats division as the lead component for our Marketing department. The Tuffy brand is well known throughout the Midwest and far out steps Fiberdome's corporate brand recognition, lending opportunity for sales to consumers who work in all major industries to carry the Fiberdome/Tuffy brand forward in the process. Tuffy is not a major division of Fiberdome when considered as a percentage of our overall production, but she is our 'Crown Jewel' and will remain so into the future. Fiberdome is proud of our experienced Tuffy Boats staff, and we all look forward to a strong, positive future."
Tuffy Boats have been manufactured in Lake Mills, Wisconsin since 1976. Tuffy specializes in high performance fiberglass Muskie and Walleye boats paired with industry leading Mercury Outboard power. Contact Fiberdome or Tuffy Boats at 800.359.4416, or on the web through http://www.tuffyboats.com.
